The agreement

Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the notract iOS app, its intention-gate service, and this website.

1. Agreement and eligibility

By downloading or using notract, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use notract. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires parental consent, you may use notract only with that consent.

2. Limited licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use notract on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to these terms and the App Store Usage Rules. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass, or create derivative works from notract except where applicable law expressly permits it.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the intention gate, probe or disrupt the service, or evade technical limits;
  • submit unlawful, threatening, abusive, or rights-infringing content;
  • use automated requests, malicious code, or another person’s device without permission;
  • represent that notract provides medical care, diagnosis, or treatment; or
  • use notract in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.

4. Screen Time controls and AI decisions

notract uses Apple Screen Time technologies to apply settings you choose. iOS controls the underlying authorisation and ultimately allows you to remove the app. The 24-hour delay applies to protection changes made inside notract; it does not make your device impossible to alter or guarantee that every block will always apply.

The intention gate uses an AI model to return automated approve/deny decisions and minutes. AI output can be incomplete, unavailable, or mistaken. The gate is a habit-friction feature, not professional, medical, legal, safety, or emergency advice. Do not rely on notract where delayed access could create a safety risk.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

If notract offers a paid subscription or in-app purchase, the price and billing period will be shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account through the App Store. Apple handles billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds under the terms shown in your App Store region.

Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, an auto-renewing subscription may renew and Apple may charge your account. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. We cannot directly issue App Store refunds.

6. Ownership and feedback

notract, its visual design, software, text, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Apple’s marks belong to Apple Inc. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

7. Warranty disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, notract is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for notract. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its terms and applicable law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use notract.

Our total liability for claims relating to notract will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for notract in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $50. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using notract at any time by deleting it and cancelling any subscription through Apple. We may suspend access to backend features if you materially violate these terms, misuse the service, or create a security or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law.

10. Governing law

OWNER TODO

Insert the developer’s legal jurisdiction and courts before launch. Example structure: “These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of [VENUE] have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.”

Nothing in these terms limits consumer protections or other rights that cannot be waived under the law where you live.

11. Contact and Apple terms

Questions about these terms: hrdevelopment.apps@gmail.com.

Apple is not a party to these terms, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the licence terms applicable to your use of the iOS app and may enforce them. notract is responsible for the app, its support, and any claims relating to it, subject to these terms and applicable law.
