Contact notract support
Expected response
Within 2 business days, Monday through Friday.
Include your iOS version, iPhone model, notract app version, and the exact step where the issue appears. Do not send screenshots containing sensitive information.
Troubleshooting
Start with the relevant check below. Restart notract and your iPhone after changing Screen Time permissions.
Screen Time permission was not granted
- Open notract and follow the prompt to authorise Screen Time access.
- If the prompt does not appear, open iOS Settings, find notract, and review its Screen Time or Family Controls permission.
- Confirm Screen Time is available on the device and that device restrictions or an organisation profile are not preventing access.
- Return to notract and choose the apps or categories you want protected.
If permission still fails, email support with the iOS version and the wording of any error shown.
Blocks are not applying
- Confirm notract still has Screen Time authorisation.
- Open the relevant block group and verify that apps or categories are selected.
- Check whether a Destabilize window or another timed access window is currently active.
- Check the schedule and, for location-based rules, confirm location permission is enabled and the chosen region is correct.
- Restart notract. If the shield still does not appear, restart the iPhone and test one selected app again.
When you contact support, say whether the problem affects every protected app or only one group.
How to remove or weaken protection
Changes that reduce protection are intentionally delayed for 24 hours. In notract, request the change from the relevant protection settings. The current rule remains active during the delay and the weaker setting takes effect after the full waiting period.
Changes that add protection or make an existing limit stricter apply immediately. If you need temporary access without permanently changing the rule, use a timed Destabilize window; the apps re-lock when it ends.
Can the delay be bypassed? No bypass is available inside notract. You can still delete the app through iOS; notract is friction you choose, not device ownership.
How to delete your data
notract does not maintain a user account. Screen Time selections, usage statistics, schedules, and protection settings are stored on your device. Delete notract from your iPhone to remove its local app data, subject to standard iOS behaviour.
Intention text is not retained after the gate returns a verdict. A device-scoped rate-limit record may remain briefly, for no longer than 30 days. To request early deletion of any identifiable rate-limit record, email hrdevelopment.apps@gmail.com with “notract data deletion request” in the subject.
